It's a beautiful day. Hmm. That makes me think of dear Mr. Rogers. . . and his neighborly day in the beautywood.
Well I just got back from spending the night with my dear mother, who turns 82 today! We had some muffins for her birthday breakfast. They were delicious . . . and from 7 Eleven. I have decided that 7 Eleven is one of my favorite places. It has GREAT coffee, yummy donuts and other non-diet stuff, and it usually has 20 oz. caffeine free diet cokes in stock. (I'm having to give up my beloved Dr. Pepper (sigh), not for Lent, Caroline, (I'm proud of you), but because of my blood sugar levels or glucose levels or level (singular) or something. I have to learn more about all that, clearly.)
Anyway, in about an hour I'll see Mother again as I'll pick her up and we'll go to the antique mall where I will play the piano and she will shop around, work in our booth, and then eat with me. Then tonight we'll take her out for dinner, and then have birthday cake.
It's mostly about eating today. . . let the calories begin!!! . . . or continue. . .
