Notice I didn't put the word 'BOWL' in my title. If the Cowboys were playing, maybe.
It HAS been a super day, though. I heard one of the best sermons in my life. In fact I think in the last week I've heard 3 of the best sermons I've ever heard in my life. Now I'm not going to count my hubby's sermons when I write about superlatives, and comparisons and all. That wouldn't be fair. His were the ABSOLUTE BEST, but I better say that, right? (And no, I'm not just saying that because he might read my blog. It's because it's the truth. And of course he might read my blog.)
Anyway, Rob Carmack preached 3 of the best sermons I have ever experienced. And if you've heard Rob preach you know that one EXPERIENCES his sermons.
Last Sunday he preached on being 'Fully Human' and today he finished the 2 part series. On Wednesday night at Fuel (Bear Valley's once a month worship/Bible study/Lord's supper service) he talked about the 10 Commandments, giving an intro and then speaking specifically on the first commandment. Now that talk was incredible. INCREDIBLE. I often tend to brag on him TO him -and to others - and so it seems that my words become meaningless (since I talk so much). Well, I hope they don't. Anyway, THAT talk was my most favorite of the three. It was AMAZING.
So it's been a super Sunday. Oh, and Sam and I ate with Rob and Caroline after the service. That is always fun.
Now for the Super Bowl . . . and its commercials.
