Today's post goes like this. . .

I have discovered that I like: artichoke, and still life photos, and Quizno’s Sammies, and fresh blueberries on Bluebell Homemade Vanilla ice cream. Wouldn't you know - 3 out of 4 of those items are food.

Yesterday I happened to be in Arlington and I happened to drive by the new, but of course unfinished, Dallas Cowboy stadium. Whoa! It is HUGE. And it is sobering to me . . .because it reminds me that I'm not a young thing anymore.
Back in 1972 I attended the very first meeting held in the Texas Stadium in Irving. It was not a football game ... it was a Billy Graham Crusade. And it was exciting to be there! I mean, there I was in this new, huge state-of-the-art stadium. I was part of the future. And now that stadium is a has-been. . . and soon to be leveled to make way for an outlet mall, I think.
I'll have to go to the first meeting in that new stadium. Somehow I don't think it will be a Billy Graham crusade.
