There is something about this question, actually article title, in REAL SIMPLE magazine, that makes me sick. Or at least uneasy.
It makes me think of the affluence of Americans and how they (we) are out of touch with the poverty in many parts of the world.
And yet. . .
how guilty should I feel?
I don't want anyone to be starving.
I don't want anyone to live on the streets.
I don't want anyone to have to be a refugee - from anything.
Still - that article title sickens me.
I've seen other headlines that are just as 'affluently-charged' . . . but for some reason I haven't been as sickened as I was with that one.
Maybe I'm 'emerging'.
