Happy Biscuit Month . . . and Andrew . . .

September is National Biscuit Month.
This is picture of a Pecan Sour Cream Biscuit. It looks so good. The recipe is
HERE if you're interested.

Yesterday I made my second trip to east Texas in a week with my mother. Her neighbor from out there and dear friend, Dan Anderson, died suddenly Monday. We went to the funeral in Van yesterday. Sunday we went to Colfax homecoming. At both places we told everyone about Mother's new great grandson, Andrew . . . and everyone we told loved that Andrew was named Andrew!!

I hope you have a great weekend. The weather is looking great!

Ummmm...I want one of those biscuits NOW! I also want to know when you and I are going to Gloria's -- let me know when you're free this month.

Thanks for your comment Nancy. I'm not interested in changing peoples minds about their choice in candidates -- just wanted to raise the issue of decision making amongst the candidates, and make people think about THAT issue, which I feel is the real crux of VOTER decision at this point. We can argue about experience, campaign promises, and all the other issues until the cows come home and go back out again the next day -- but in the end, it's the day to day decisions our leadership makes that brings about change -- which everyone agrees we need.

As for next Friday -- PERFECT!!!!! WE can settle on the time later. Can't WAIT!!!!

That biscuit looks so delicious! I think I might make some... when I get time... probably in 5 years. Just kidding! If I do make some, I'll bring some over! I had biscuits and gravy this morning at the Guenther House, where we had my bridal breakfast the morning of my wedding! It was with Rosemary, my best friend... SO good! And then I see that its biscuit month! Good timing, I suppose!

And sweet Andrew is napping on my chest right now... and I love it!
