Autumn . . .

. . . I've decided, is my favorite time of year.
I like the colors, the scents, the sweaters I will get to wear if it ever cools up (or down), and the idea that Christmas is around the corner.

Here's a picture of one of my favorite things about November/December. (I know you're not surprised that it is something you eat.)

Ummmm...pumpkin pie. Can't pick a favorite time of year. Each one has it's own joys and delights. With that said, what I like best about each season (and in Texas we're really only talking two seasons) is the change in food -- I love that first cold snap when I have a big pot of stew simmering on the stove and cornbread baking in a cast iron skillet in the oven. Then when the weather warms up I love that first burst of flavor when the cherries come in and I pop one in my mouth. Then there is the sweetness of a fresh peach and summer cobblers.

YUMMM!!! I love fall... that's definitely my favorite time, too! I can't wait for it to get cooler again.

Haha yes, I'm really reading all of those books (albeit very slowly). I will get to a new post soon. This semester is kind of eating my proverbial lunch.

I really like the weather at this time of year. It's generally pretty comfortable outside. I think this is my favorite time of year, weather-wise.

I love the summer. I love the heat, sun, flip flops, and suntans, iced tea, oh man, i miss it already..

... even if it was in the 80's today. hah
