Can't think of a title for this post...

This has been in interesting week. (Understatement)
We've had company - and it has not been for the sole purpose of just getting together. It has been for -how do you say- providing a safe place for one who is at a crossroads in life.
I won't go into detail.
Suffice it to say, it has been an interesting week.

This morning I was reminded of a super simple prayer that ALWAYS helps me when I don't know what or how to pray. I shared this with my cousin and I will share it with you...

All I know of me
I give to all I know of You.
That's all I know to do.

When I pray this I open up the palms of my hands - a kind of tactile gesture that helps.

And God is so good. (Right now there are no words to explain that.
And I won't try to convince you of His goodness here - or even His existence. (I know some of you are not convinced. Oh, would that I could just zap you with some faith. Hmm. That's another post someday.- when I will try to zap you ... as if I could.))

I ramble.

Anyway, I'm thinking I will try and direct some thoughts to the Psalms... especially Ps. 32 and Ps. 51.

[This post is not one of my perky posts. Well, it's a pensive morning.)

I just wanted to write about where I am today - and how close I'm feeling to God.

I'm so glad I have a Savior.

And I'm glad my cousin is here... but she will leave tomorrow. Pray for her.

I have been reading your blogs since Zero Church started (that's how I found it). I've been wanting to tell you how much I enjoy them. I love your posts and pictures, I just love your family! Anway, I'm commenting now because of the little prayer you posted.. WOW! Good one! That is just what I needed and I have someone (also at a crossroads) who I'm sending it to. See, you never know when you post something, who it may help! You are a special lady, love ya!

I think these gray wet days bring out pensiveness, and that's good sometimes. I think I'd get bored if I felt perky every single day, not to mention how much I'd irritate my friends.

Thanks for being transparent and pointing us to God and the Psalms today. And thanks for sharing a few words to use when it's one of those days when we don't know how to pray. I'm printing them out for my wall of inspiration.

Such a simple prayer that speaks volumes - It is so moving and God works wonders when we fully open ourselves up to Him and His saving grace. Still praying for her.

My hometown...

I am thinking of my hometown now. Mission, Texas. And McAllen, Texas. And Mercedes, Texas, where I was born. And Donna, Texas, so near there...
