. . . it marks the celebration of our risen Lord!
. . . and it is the 20th anniversary of my twin's death.
It is hard to believe that it has been 20 years since Peggy died. (She was Peggy Jean, I, Nancy Jane.) Yesterday we went to the cemetery in Colfax. We had a little 'ceremony'. Some of us talked a little and then Sam read some Scripture and prayed. It was very wonderful.
Then we drove by the old homestead, White Haven. Somehow it doesn't look as grand now.
Afterward we had some comfort food at the Sisters' Cafe in Canton. Elvis brought some fun to the occasion as he was standing on the table!
How wonderful it is that the 20th anniversary of Peggy's death is on Easter!!
"Do not abandon yourselves to despair. . . We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song." - Pope John Paul II
Oh, I must tell you... the most precious thing.... little Caroline was singing "If You're Happy And You Know It, Clap Your Hands" the whole day. At the cemetery, at the cafe. Everywhere. Talk about delightful.
