...I found myself in a doctor's office wearing 'Pretty, Pretty Princess' jewelry. That's jewelry from the little Cinderella game that little Caroline and I were playing this morning. When I had to run and get Andrew at the doctor's office (where he was for his one year checkup and shots) from John (who had taken him) so he (John) could go to a meeting (the doctor's appointment was taking way too long), I didn't realize that I hadn't taken off all the little jewelry. (This paragraph makes sense to me.)
Anyway, that (the jewelry) must explain those stares I got.
You see, Caroline and Andrew's mother came down hard with a bad infection yesterday at noon ... that made it impossible for her to do anything, much less mother 2 little ones. Soooo, her hubby hurried over from a meeting in Tyler (over 2 hours away). And my mother hurried over, as did Elizabeth's neighbor, and then a friend, and then cousin Laura. All to the rescue.
And rescue was needed.
Unfortunately I was out of town yesterday. But I'm here now --- and looking forward to another round of 'Pretty, Pretty Princess' when Caroline wakes up from her nap.
Sometimes mothers (and other people) think they just can't stop the world and get off ... until a health issue makes them do just that.
I'm thinking we should all stop the world every now and then.... before we have to...
(I have to preach a sermon (even to myself) every so often.)
