Fun . . .

Mother and I went to Canton yesterday to attend her fun Christmas Bridge party. Before she and my (now deceased) dad moved up here to the Metroplex to be near me, Mother was a part of this twice-monthly group. Well, we just had to attend THIS year's Christmas party. YES!

Here are the "Bridge Ladies"...They are a WONDERFUL group of ladies. Each one is an inspiration! EACH ONE - I mean it.

Here is Jan, the hostess with the mostest. She knows how to host a fantastic party! (She is also the organist at First Baptist, Canton)...

The next picture is of my plate. (Having a blog has caused me to take pictures of stuff that I would never have taken before having a blog. I guess I think folks are interested in what I eat? Is that narcissistic? Hmm. Oh, notice the salt and pepper shakers. Each guest had her own!)

These are the bookcases in Jan's living room ... with the little Christmas village buildings (click picture to enlarge)...

This nutcracker display was in the entryway....

Here are the carolers on the piano... (how appropriate)....

I like this next picture. It's of the breakfast nook area... with the ladies playing...(my mom is scratching her head, contemplating her next move)...

This next picture shows that 'little Christmas village' background...

I like Mother's expression here... she must have gotten an interesting 'hand'!...

It was a FUN time.
I sat in a nice chair, read a book, and just enjoyed it all. (Oh, and I felt pretty young!)

(I need to learn to play bridge.)

How fun!!! Those ladies do it up right! I love all of the decorations! We love nutcrackers and I've always liked those carolers. I don't know what we'll have as our "Christmas collection."

And Grandmother's expressions are great!! Some of the ladies I recognize! I'm glad y'all had such a great time!

I love all the festive sweaters those ladies are wearing! Those are great! I hope that I'm still that sharp and active when I get older... :)

Love the Christmasy feel of your bloggity blog!

Looks like fun!

Have you set up our Christmas collection of nativity scenes? You should put up a picture of that
