Another one of Will's clever gifts . . .

Will always gives me clever gifts.

These lights (there are 2 sets) he gave me for Christmas. He bought them at the LoneStar Antique Mall... which was highlighted in the previous post.

Those lights aren't antiques, I guess you know.

Ah, but the round table they're sitting on IS an antique. It was my Grandmother Jennie's... and I love it!

I read somewhere that for something to be an official 'antique' it must be over 100 years old. (That tells you that that table is OLD.)

If something just looks old, but is younger than 100 years, you call it 'vintage'.

Oh, and those chairs, they're not even vintage. I got them at Albertson's last summer. They used to sit out by the pool, with their matching table. . . but they got promoted.

Have a great week.

I'll be back....

I love those lights! Make me feel kinda "Woohoo" if you know what I mean. I'm glad to know the difference between antique and vintage. I've always been confused about those two words. So, I guess I'm old enough to be vintage, but I'm not an antique. Good to know. LOL

Nancy, I can't believe I actually finally found you! I sent you a "Friend" request on FB - hope you see it soon! This is Deanna Laney (now King) from Baylor - a zillion years and a zillion miles ago for both of us. My mom says you guys even met them in Red Springs when Randal and Nancy Parks were there. Small world, very small world. I live in Fort Worth (after living outside of the U.S. for 25 years) and I would LOVE to see you!
