June is wedding month!
July is high school reunion month!
Here's where I grew up...

In the middle of July I'm going there ... to my 40th high school reunion.
!!!!!
I have never been to a high school reunion before. I've seen movies about them. Some were horror movies.
My former neighbor (in another neighborhood) had her teeth professionally whitened, lost ten pounds, and joined a tanning salon to get ready for her 20th. I thought that was kind of over the top. Now I'm not so sure.
Anyway, I'm REALLY looking forward to it.
Sam is going with me. :)
If you graduated from Mission High School in 1970, you had better sign up and GO!!!
This lady is the one who's putting it all together:

(If I had pretty hair like hers, I wouldn't color mine either!)
Here is what she looked like when I knew her...

Oh, it's going to be fun!
... Oh, but I don't know what I'm going to wear...

hi nancy i went to my 40th 3 yeaars ago. The older you get the less people worry about what they look like. They are just there to remember and have a good time. so relax and enjoy. You'll be one of the prettiest ones there. marilyn
Thanks, Marilyn! I needed your comment ... all of it!
I am also getting ready for my 40th this year. Where did the time go??? And why can't I get my "skinny jeans" zipped any more? Or if I can get them zipped, why can't I BREATHE?? Or sit down, or move??? Oh, my! Where did all these grey hairs come from??? And WHO is that old woman looking back at me from my mirror?!?!?!?!?! And why on earth doesn't she DO SOMETHING about all those wrinkles????? Really!!!
Oh, well. It is what it is. And I guess I had just better consider myself BLESSED that I can go to my reunion (last one I went to was 35 years ago). Probably every other one of my classmates is having the same "panic attacks" as me!!!!
So relax, girl. We ARE in good company!
YOu'll have a blast, Nancy! I have enjoyed getting reacquainted with my class. We've all matured, been through enough stuff to humble us, change our perspective on life and what's really important.
I do still have those moments of high school panic, but then I just say, "Get over yourself." Seems to work pretty well, LOL!
