2nd post of the day....

That earlier post - about being a Facebookaholic - was really not very uplifting.

I'm going to salvage the day... by posting some positivity....

Here are some happiness quotes I found recently:

People don't notice whether it's winter or summer when they're happy.
~Anton Chekhov

One filled with joy preaches without preaching.
~Mother Teresa

Eden is that old-fashioned house we dwell in every day
Without suspecting our abode until we drive away.

~Emily Dickinson
And here are two pictures I like...
This next picture shows you just how big that flower was...(That picture was taken 2 years ago.)
I thought that fit the background I'm using now.
(If you read this later I might not have a fitting background.)

In closing...
I want to say a word about my faith.

I used to be negative....
and very critical.
My sister told me I didn't have a nice thing to say about anybody. And I didn't.

One of my coworkers - years ago - asked why I never smiled.

Somewhere along the way I decided to read the Bible seriously.
That was daunting... since the Bible IS daunting.

Anyway, I started reading the book of John in the New Testament. (Somebody told me to do that.)
I can't really tell you how it happened but ... before long I was trusting God. Believing the Bible.

'Course then I doubted... and got skeptical ... and cynical... and critical again.... but then somewhere along the way I got back on track.
... and then I found myself smiling...

There are so many more words to say... but, in short, I have found Christ to be THE ANSWER.

I used to be super conservative.. a fundamentalist-type.... against everything fun... I think I'm more balanced...

... and even more convinced that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

I just wanted to write this on this Thursday evening in May.

That is a HUGE, beautiful flower!!

And I like this post -- balance is good... even when we forget. ;)

I think you're fun -- and one of the nicest people I know. :)

My hometown...

I am thinking of my hometown now. Mission, Texas. And McAllen, Texas. And Mercedes, Texas, where I was born. And Donna, Texas, so near there...
