I've been out and about...

Tuesday night I went with my mother to see SOUTH PACIFIC at the Artisan Center Theater in Hurst.
It was put on by all volunteers... and I was impressed.
Talk about a good show!

It goes through the end of September.
Check it out.
You won't be disappointed.

Today I met Beth at Gloria's for a Beth-belated-birthday lunch... YUM.

Don't you like that picture of Beth?
That's her 'signature pose'. She uses it on her blog and as her profile pic on Facebook.

(I want to pose like that someday.)

We talked for 2 hours at Gloria's... and shared the Nancy's Favorite (yes, that's the name) on the lunch menu.

By the way, I left a hefty tip ...

... I've learned in my tea room experience that if you take 2 hours to eat (and especially if you split an entree) you need to TIP WELL.

Different note:
I've put up a new poll (upper right).

Did you know that in my last poll, of the four states I listed (Maine, New Mexico, Tennessee and Montana) Maine won out for the place folks would most like to vacation?
I'm going to have to go there some day. YES!
(I voted for Montana.)

In the poll before that I voted for 'buffet'.

(Yes, the poll is anonymous...
But I like to say everything in my head.)

I had a WONDERFUL time at lunch with you today. Thank you so much for listening to me talk for a full hour of the two we spent together. YOu're the best kind of friend to have.

You CAN take a photo of you like mine -- I took it of myself on my iMac -- just held the cup up and smiled at the computer screen while hitting the mouse with my big toe. IT did take several attempts before I got coordinated enough to get a good shot. LOL!

I like how your background matches you poll question. I won't be anonymous either--i voted for New Mexico in the last one and Paris Hilton with this one. I don't really know much about the other people though.

I voted for Maine. It seemed like it would be cool and inviting. :). Long lunches with great conversations = best ever. Gloria's is pretty good too. :)

and I'm still anonymous!
