Today was the most different Thanksgiving of my life...

I knew it would be different... what with no kids living at home ... and us not hosting the feast (which was fine by me!)... but I didn't know how different it would really be.

I didn't know I would get sick. UGH.

Two days ago I felt it coming. Yesterday it got worse. This morning it got even worse.

Coughing, sneezing, aching all over, and always needing a tissue close by.

I did not - NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT - want that newborn to get near me. .. which meant I could not - NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT - get near her.

So I stayed home.

In bed.

Doing nothing.

Now I'm feeling better. Well, Elizabeth sent me a plate of the most delicious Thanksgiving meal one can imagine. (I should have taken a picture of it.)
I know that meal is helping in my healing.

Thank you, Elizabeth!!!!
Well, post before last I bemoaned the fact that I could not get access to BLOGGER's backgrounds and fonts, etc. My husband, who has always been a computer genius to everyone who's known him, solved my problem!! Thank you, Honey!

I think my feeling bad last night made my post last night kind of sour.

I'm sorry it was negative. (I had written even more (negative stuff) and read it to Sam and he said, "You need to take some of that out." I did. Thank goodness. ... Still.)

(I need to get over those naysayers from years ago.)

Well, I know of some people who are going to get up early-early and hit the stores tomorrow.

Not I. I'm staying in bed..... maybe all day ... again.

I'm sad you aren't feeling well, but I'm glad Eliz sent you some yummy food! I had a different Thanksgiving, too... but it was good.

<3 you!

Feel better.

We won't be getting up early to hit the stores... but I will be sleeping in... and then photographing some sweet twins. Oh yes. :)

You made the best decision, but I bet it was hard to be home alone. I hope you feel better tomorrow. Be extra good to yourself. ♥♥♥

Get your rest and get well sweet lady. Sorry you missed out yesterday...but still there is celebration to be found even in the quiet moments. They are sometimes hard to find also. A nice cup of herbal tea, warm blankets and silence. Who said Silence is Golden....jsut like these leaves in your'll have to share where you are getting these dynamite backgrounds.

My hometown...

I am thinking of my hometown now. Mission, Texas. And McAllen, Texas. And Mercedes, Texas, where I was born. And Donna, Texas, so near there...
