Whoa....

We were driving around this morning (Sam knows how to drive on ice) when all of a sudden we saw 2 wolves crossing Highway 26 just north of Cheek-Sparger.

I couldn’t get my iPhone-camera out fast enough, but I knew the internet would have pictures.

Sure enough...
those wolves looked like this picture, kind of...

Not very many people are out and about.
I wasn't expecting to be, but when I asked Sam what he wanted for breakfast, he said something like, "I think I'm getting cabin fever. Let's go out and eat breakfast."
So we did.
And we got to see the wolves.

And I got to eat an absolutely fantastic breakfast at THE ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE in Grapevine.

In closing I'll show you some pictures I like....

First, here's Will cooking...

He told me on the phone that it was a chicken dish....
Mmm. It looks good. (Bailey took those pictures.)

Now here's Laura wearing a cap she knitted...
(My daughter can do anything.) (Well, my son, too.)

Finally, here's my niece, Elizabeth (who also can do anything), with sweet Anna yesterday....
Sweetness, huh?
(Those last four pictures I got off of Facebook, which I so enjoy.)

I've put up a new poll (upper right). I would so like it if you would vote on it. Thanks.

My last poll had Sarah Palin winning (or losing) as to who would you NOT want in a trapped elevator with you. Me, I voted for (against) Simon Cowell. He's so negative when he's negative that, well, I did not hesitate to vote for (against) him. (I know, he's paid to be that way. ...Still.)

Stay safe!

What great pictures! Everybody so happy. The siting of those wolves must have been a treat. We don't see that part of nature in the big city much. They must have been looking for warmer shelter, something to eat or perhaps a ride somewhere. Uh...you probably made the right choice not taking them to breakfast. Thank you for sharing...your blog is so refreshing.
