Prize Pupil

Monday I got to take little Caroline to her dance class.

Before we went we watched some DORA THE EXPLORER on the TV and then she wanted to put some little crowns - or tiaras - in her hair. She already had pretty pink bows on so we put the tiaras on top of the bows. (If you look closely you'll see them.)
You'll also see an eye. Doesn't that look like an eye on her little side pony tail on the right? I guess I ought to send that in to THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL.
(Seriously, doesn't it look like that ottoman is a big animal?)
(Woo. Or Ooo.)

On the way to her dance class Caroline (with no prompting) said, "Do you want to know what I want to be when I grow up?"
I said, "No, what do want to be?"
"I want to be a princess ballerina, a pony rider, and a mommy!"

How darling is that?

At the dance studio all the mothers (and great aunts) could watch the class on a monitor out in the waiting room....
That's Caroline on the left doing an Arabesque.
She is the prize pupil, of course.

That's all for now.

I'm in Oklahoma for board meetings.

I think I've gone a whole day without thinking about Charlie Sheen.
That's what no television will do for me.

In closing here's a quote I like (that I've copied and pasted many times)...

The soul is healed by being with children.
- Fyodor Dostoevsky

That Caroline is such a cutie. I think she looks a little like her Aunt Nancy in that picture, but not with the crazy third eye. ;)

Be safe in Oklahoma. The weather has been weird this week. On second thought, if you haven't heard about Charlie Sheen, maybe you already are in Oz?

I have no idea what's going on with charlie sheen, nor do I know any more about him than that he is an actor of sorts. That is crazy about the ottoman eye! What a eye-trick. Wish we could have gone to the meeting. See you soon.

Caroline is just precious...I do see that giant animal...glad he is a friendly guy.

Poor Sheen, when he does finally come down, he may find he has crashed and burned. I don't read about his antics because I do not want to be an enabler....not even in thought.

All the kids at my work love Dora. And a little girl carolines age told me ( also without prompting) that she wants to be a babysitter when she grows up and work at kiddin around. Ha!

But yeah, Caroline looks like the best dancer up there.

My hometown...

I am thinking of my hometown now. Mission, Texas. And McAllen, Texas. And Mercedes, Texas, where I was born. And Donna, Texas, so near there...
