Moving along....

Time waits for no man or woman.

Frankly I'm ready for time to slow down.

The LoneStar Antique Mall has some things of yesteryear ... which make me wonder what will be 'old' in a few years.

Here's what's old now ...

The lady in the next-to-the-last picture is precious Lydia. She is one of the dearest dealers I know and she has one of the classiest booths in the LoneStar Antique mall (5605 N. Denton Highway, Haltom City, TX - a suburb northeast of Fort Worth, TX).
(The last picture is also of her booth.)

I think walking through an antique mall is therapeutic.... well, if you're an older person, like I'm getting to be.

So many memories are in an antique mall.

An antique mall is like a museum.

... And there's no admission fee!!

There's quite a few of them in Houston area, I love browsing through them, you never know what you might find.

I love antiques...they each hold so much history. When I am around antiques I love to picture the people who used to own them....what they might have looked like, how they used these items and what their lives were like. It really is a travel back in someways like settling into a really good book. So much reminds us of our traditions, family life and how things continue on from generation to generation. I especially love spinning wheels... wondering about the lives of those women who so patiently spun their own threads...making the clothes for their families from truly raw much we take for granted now. Or maybe we don't take it for granted, we just have more time to blog. Right?

I love your antique mall - and it is SO therapeutic... in fact, Kelly, me and another friend are coming again this week! I'll text you when.
