I'm exhausted....

...but I'm feeling a good exhausted.

Wow, it's been almost a week since I last blogged.
Now I'm a little nervous about it.
(So there IS truth that after a while you can lose your 'mojo'.)
(Click HERE for the Urban Dictionary definition of 'mojo'.)

We had a great time in D.C.

A highlight was seeing Allison and her beau, Paul...
(I think if they said they're in a relationship on Facebook I can call him 'her beau', right?)
(It's like 'mojo', I'm just learning these new-fangled things.)
(Allison is Laura's best friend and was her maid of honor.) (She's also one of our most favorite people in the whole world --- and VERY interesting.... she's working and living in D.C., now., before that Sydney, Australia, and other places around the world.) Her beau, Paul, studies at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia.)

Here's Allison with Sam and me...
\

Here are some pictures taken throughout our visit...
(That's the impressive Korea War Memorial.)

(That's our tour guide at the Viet Nam Memorial.)

(That's the Women's Viet Nam War Memorial.)

(That's the view of the Washington Monument from the World War II Memorial (which was OUTSTANDING). (Unfortunately I don't have good pictures of it.)

(That is the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.)

We truly had a wonderful time.
Oh, and Sam attended a conference for church business administrators while we were there.
I attended a few sessions with him... which provided a good time for my mind to wander.

While we were there, something very important happened back in Texas....
Bailey's little niece, Macy Marie Parker, was born!(to Bailey's sister and brother-in-law, Shea and Scott)!!!

I can't wait to meet her.

(First I need to get some rest.)

A fun fact for your pictures: the amazing headmaster from my private school was the model for the Vietnam Vets memorial statue.

Looks like a great trip! I used to really love DC. I always wanted to end up there. I haven't been in a LONG time though.

Get some rest. Then go love on a baby. :)

Apparently they are changing her middle name now, so I'm not sure what it is at the moment. But it's no longer Marie... Probably either Macy May or Macy Lynn.

Sounds like you had a great time!!!

That's okay to change Macy's name.

I mean, her parents can change her name to whatever they want.
Oh yeah.

Thanks for sharing these DC pictures. Brings back a lot of childhood memories. I am just now catching up...I was just kind of cyber disconnected there for awhile.

And the new baby is precious. Congrats to the happy parents.
