11/11/11 is gone.

Time waits for no man or woman.
I mean, have you noticed there is no way we can stop it!?!

Ah, but here's a picture I like that was taken two Thanksgivings ago...
In that picture Bailey and Ryan were just serious sweethearts of my kids.
Now they're family.
So time is good that way.

And so today I'm thankful for time.

Every single morning is new.
And every single evening is time to settle down and get comfortable, and regroup and sleep and get refreshed so we can be ready for the new day tomorrow.
(Not that we have to be perky or anything.)

Oh, I know time can wreck havoc with the body.
And my wrinkles aren't going to reverse themselves on their own.

But here's a good Bible verse for that...
So we do not lose heart though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
- 2 Corinthians 4:16
I love that verse.
More and more all the time.
Different note: a new poll is up.
I've already voted.
In closing, yesterday was Veterans Day.
Here are two veterans I want to honor...

My dad...

And Sam's dad...
These two men were the finest men in the world... and are ever our inspiration.

Thank you, Daddy, and 'Daddy-Bob'.

Years and years ago, I said "good-bye" to my friend. Time (and God) brought her back to me. :-)
Yes, time can be a wonderful thing!

And I never see the wrinkles that you speak eyes never see them when I look at you!!!! Really!!

My hometown...

I am thinking of my hometown now. Mission, Texas. And McAllen, Texas. And Mercedes, Texas, where I was born. And Donna, Texas, so near there...
