One of my absolute favorite voices is stilled...
How very, very sad.
I remember being so surprised that Dolly Parton wrote the song that Whitney Houston made famous, "I Will Always Love You".
Whoa. Who would have thought?
Then, for some reason Sam and I watched THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (we must have been hard up for movies to watch) and there was Dolly singing that song.
And somewhere along the road we found out that beautiful, talented Whitney had had drug use and erratic behavior... for years.
Life can be sad.
I do know this: ONLY JESUS CAN SATISFY YOUR SOUL.
Yeah, I'm actually taking this grief moment to preach that little sermon.
You may be offended that I would be a holy-jo in this moment... and preach any sermon.
But I'm preaching it.
I know it first-hand.
ONLY JESUS CAN SATISFY YOUR SOUL.
The Grammys are on tonight.
But no Grammy award can satisfy any soul.

I don't know.... I just wanted to blog this.

(I will miss Whitney so much.)
(I liked her voice more than Mariah's .... or Celine's, even.)

Agree wholeheartedly, Nancy. ONLY JESUS, ONLY JESUS!
I am sure you know this but it sorta goes along with what you are saying here. Whitney sang one song the Thursday night before she died at a pre-Grammy event. That song was "JESUS LOVES ME".
