"Andrew-isms"... etc....

I was with four-year-old Andrew recently and as we were driving along I saw this...
We stopped behind the car at a stoplight and Andrew saw it too.
He excitedly said, "That means the people in that car cheer for the flip flop team!"

One morning when I was staying with him and his sisters, he told me that his little stuffed monkey, Congo, wanted a banana for breakfast.
Caroline said, “Andrew, that means YOU'RE going to have to eat the banana.”
Then Andrew yelled out, “Oh no, Congo just NOW decided he wasn’t hungry after all!!”
Another time Andrew searched and searched for his toy saw.  It was nowhere to be found.  Instead of being super-frustrated he shrugged his shoulders and said, "It must be on vacation."
Those may not have made Art Linkletter's "Kids Say the Darndest Things" but they made mine.
(Click that Kids thing and watch some cute kids with Art Linkletter.)
(Oh, and HERE is another great video of Art Linkletter with kids.)

It's fun to be around Andrew.

He's quite talented, too.
Here's a beautiful pumpkin he made at school...

His mother is also talented...
Here are some pictures I took in their home...

That's the antique pie safe that Elizabeth's great-grandmother (my dad's mother) had.

Here are some 'scraps' (on either side of the window) that John and Elizabeth got in New Orleans recently. They were part of the refuse of Hurricane Katrina....
Elizabeth sure knows how to make treasure out of trash!

Finally, here's the The Lord's Prayer done in cross-stitch that hung in Grandmother and Granddaddy's (my parents) guest room.....
It looks absolutely beautiful in Elizabeth's dining room.

Finally, here's another picture I like...

That picture was taken a year ago.
I thought it was appropriate, though, since A&M just beat Alabama!!!

Gig 'Em!!

Back Together Again!!

Crazy days... have brought us back together. Sam and I took the 'quarantining suggestion' made last March seriously and quarantined ...
