New Favorites...

When I can't think of what to blog about I have a relatively new solution....
to tell you about my FAVORITE THINGS!

'Course my favorite movie of all time is THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and well, it has that special song when all the children come to her room at night during a thunderstorm...
... and she sings to them about "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens" and well, that song, and the whole idea of that song, is one of my FAVORITE THINGS!!

And here are some NEW favorite things....
Is that not one of the best pictures you've ever seen?!?

I think I want that picture made into a big poster to hang on my wall.
Then I'd always be smiling.

Here's another one of my new favorite things....

No, that is not my closet.
But it REPRESENTS my closet.

I have had a love/hate relationship with my closet for awhile.
It is always a mess.
It is always my intention to get it organized.

I looked at it the other day and thought, "I need to like this tiny room."
It holds my treasures.
And I am SO BLESSED to have these treasures.

But, I need to not let it defeat me, by its disorganization.

So for 2013 I'm making peace with it.

I'm not saying I'm completely organizing it,
but I AM saying that it is NOT THE BOSS OF ME!!

I'm getting silly.

Well, I've been sickly, and I am FEELING SO MUCH BETTER that I'm almost giddy.

So those are my 3 favorite things today:
that song
that picture
my closet.

I will leave you with this 4th favorite thing, this wonderful quote I found,

“The Christian gospel is that I am so flawed that Jesus had to die for me, yet I am so loved and valued that Jesus was glad to die for me. This leads to deep humility and deep confidence at the same time. It undermines both swaggering and sniveling. I cannot feel superior to anyone, and yet I have nothing to prove to anyone. I do not think more of myself nor less of myself. Instead, I think of myself less.”

Oh, I have a new poll up (upper right)!
Please vote if you can! (You might have to hit the 'clicks' several times.)
Thank you!
