That's Ryan (my son-in-law), Laura (my daughter), and our dear friend, Linh.
Here are some more pictures of the village I took earlier in the week...
(It will be up till after New Year's.)
Before they studied that village the trio had lunch...
I just love those people.
They are each so interesting.
Linh is in medical school,
Ryan is getting his master's in nursing,
and Laura is an elementary art teacher.
Hmm. I guess I don't have much in common with them.
For one thing I've never taken an art lesson in my life.
Laura took art in high school, then majored in Art History in college (Baylor)
- even studying a semester in Florence, Italy,
and then she got a Master's in Art Education at the University of North Texas.
Now she teaches elementary art in the Richardson Independent School District.
She's helped me realize how good visual art is for the soul.
I think they are so unique ... and beautiful.
You can see more of her art work
(and buy it, if you'd like),
by clicking HERE to go to her Society6 site.
Here's some of her art that hangs in our breakfast nook...
And here's some more in the kitchen....
Here's out it is...
That's the door to the laundry room and pantry.
I usually put Christmas art up in those places, but this year no.
I wanted to keep Laura's art up...
because I love it.
And her.
Oh, and here's a squirrel she did in pen....
I can't even begin to imagine drawing that.
Here she is in our family Christmas picture back in the eighties....
That's her on the left,
sweetness herself.
We had no idea at that time how talented how kids were.
Mm.
