Family Affair...

Sometimes I don't have much to blog about.
Other times I have too much..... well, for a short blog post.... and then I get in a tizzy...
How can I blog a little about a lot?!

Nancy, it's okay.
(It's okay to talk to yourself.... and it's okay to blog a little bit one day, a little bit more the next day, etc., etc.)

So here's my little bit for today.....
Last night we had fun....we had a birthday party for Mother AND Elizabeth (whose birthday is TODAY!) (Mother turned a bit older than that February 9th.)
(And it was Nell's first time to be with everybody together - which was no big deal to her. She fit right in!)

I'll start with the last picture we took of the night.....
That's us!!!
On the left is Peggy's group...
Her son Cap and daughter Elizabeth (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!),
with Elizabeth's husband John,
and their kids Caroline, Anna and Andrew.
Then there's me with Sam behind Mother (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!),
and then our daughter, Laura with her husband Ryan,
and then baby Nell, with her mother Bailey
and Bailey's husband (our son) Will.

Here are the brother and sister, Cap and Elizabeth,
in a picture she put on Facebook last night....
Whoa.  They both look like their mom, Peggy, I think...
which makes me feel super good, since Peggy and I were twins.

There are a lot more pictures of the gathering -
but let me show you just two more for now....

That's Elizabeth with her son, Andrew....
That makes me smile.

And...
Here's Mother with a fun gift Will, Bailey and Nell gave her....
They know that Mother absolutely loves popcorn.
(She and Daddy used to have some every single night.)
And when we were growing up,
popcorn was our Sunday night supper after church...
every Sunday night.

(I, of course, kept up the tradition when I married Sam.)

In closing here is an old commercial for JIFFY POP....

We have some microwave popcorn in the pantry.

I'm having a hankering.

-----
I'll have more later.... about the birthday party.... and Ryan going to Ethiopia, ...and Rob's church.... and the recipe for my pot roast - which is super yum, ... and how Shiloh is in trouble.
Stay tuned.
