No happy....

I have no happy snappy zappy news to share right now....

My nose is stopped up... and I'm coughing up junk.... and I feel achey.
But what's worse is there is bad, sad news everywhere ....
... so the world doesn't seem so beautiful to me right now.

This deal with that madman kidnapping those Nigerian students to sell them ..... is beyond horrendous.
 How could this have happened?!

(You can click HERE for Voice of America's article about the U. S. helping.)

This has just consumed my thoughts during this day.

So is there any good news in the world?

Well, there ARE good people.

Did you know that this week is
NATIONAL NURSES WEEK!

And my son-in-law is a nurse!
And will graduate May 16th with his master's degree,
which will make him a Nurse Practioner!

In March he went to Ethiopia on a month-long-medical mission trip....
That's him in Ethiopia.

So HAPPY NURSE WEEK, RYAN!!

AND
Did you know that this week is also
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!?!

Ryan's wife is Laura, our daughter....
and she is a teacher!
Here's a picture she put up today on Facebook...
She wrote, "Feeling the love this teachers' appreciation week."

SO
HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK, LAURA!

And
my daughter-in-law has also been a teacher...

Here she is with her fun husband in a library...
(Where I think people are supposed to be serious.)

(Bailey taught high school English in the Irving School District.)

HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK, BAILEY!!

Her fun husband is working in Dallas at a great studio.
It's fifty50studios.

So I'm declaring this week also....
NATIONAL STUDIO WORKERS' APPRECIATION WEEK!!

And I'm going to celebrate...
somehow...
when I feel well enough.

But that does make me feel better -
- just that -
that declaring a national appreciation week for studio workers!
YES!

HAPPY WEEK, PEOPLE!!

(And let's pray that those girls be found - and saved - in Nigeria.)

Thats was actually a Borders, not a library (I believe). And you were a teacher too--so happy week to you!
