Wednesday Whimsy ...

Most of this 'whimsy' is from LONESTAR ANTIQUES (5605 Denton Highway, Haltom City, TX), but much of it is not...

Well, this first picture was taken in the parking lot of LONESTAR...

This next picture was taken in the LONESTAR tea room...
Those are not flowers in those pots.
They're little cupcakes...that were going to be served at a bridal shower in the party area.
I got to watch two dear ladies put them together...
so I had to take a picture.

This next picture is of a book I bought myself in a cute little Florida book store...
(I might have to blog about just that book someday.)

Here's some whimsy I found in Irving, TX....
That's a chair, and a little cart from Costa Rica...
and some yellow flowers from Colorado, I think.
They're on the porch of the home of Susan and Keith Prather.
I'm pretty sure Susan's mother herself got the furniture in Costa Rica,
while on a mission trip.

She went all over the world on mission trips.

Here's Susan with that precious mother (who sadly died suddenly in April)...
That's a 'grainy' picture because I got it from Facebook, and it was really small there.

Susan's birthday was Sunday... and she posted that great picture on FB,
in honor (memory) of her mother.

Susan wrote this as a caption ...
First bday w/out my mom. she would always call and sing and then say, "___ years ago today i was thinking my daughter was born." (or something along those lines.) i miss her so much sometimes. i am so glad that i will see her again someday, but still selfishly want her here.

What a wonderful mother she was...
with a wonderful daughter...
... who needs to take as long as she needs to grieve and grieve...
and grieve.

-------
Here's some more whimsy from the Prather house...
That's a garden totem Susan made.

Here's another....
Can you see the kitten?

 -----
I'll close with a few pictures from some LONESTAR booths

And finally this cute mug...

Happy Wednesday!!!
