"Christmas Time is Here"...

... is a beautiful song....

During the rest of the year, Claudia (the tea room manager) likes me to play "Moon River" every time I play in the tea room.
Ah, but this month she wants to hear "Christmas Time is Here" as often as I can play it... so I do.

I played it Saturday... along with other Christmas songs and carols... and this group really liked my music so they wanted me in their picture!...
They're a group of widows that comes in the tea room the first Saturday of every month.
These were a few that stayed around to visit after eating.
The rest of the group (about 8) went shopping!

Before I played I went to a fantastic MIA (Mothers In Action) Christmas Market at First Baptist Church, Grapevine.  It was amazing.....

Here's the main person giving out some announcements...
Yes, that's my niece Elizabeth!!!
I was so proud of her... and loved meeting lots of her friends.
Plus, I got a lot of Christmas shopping done!

Next year when they have this market, PLAN ON GOING, okay?!!
There were over 55 vendors ... and a great bake sale...
and well, I could have spent more time there,
but the tea room gig was calling...
so I had to go play "Christmas Time is Here"....
because Christmas time IS here ... and I AM enjoying it!

Oh, and I enjoyed a fantastic Christmas party at Mother's retirement center Thursday evening...
Clockwise from the left, Joan (pronounced Jo Ann), Mother, my chair, Dolores, Nancy (eating chicken), Lisa, and Peggy.
The entertainer for the evening was amazing. I'll have to get his name, so I can maybe find his website and share it. ....
He's the man on the left, in the red suit and red shirt, and red tie.
And he sounded every bit as good as Nat King Cole.
I'm serious.
Whoa.

The activities director at Parkwood is Amy....
She puts on a super deluxe party!!

Before we left the party, I had Mother point out Daddy's picture on their veterans' wall...
I love that his picture is on that wall.

Well, I'll close with a picture I took of myself in my Christmas clothes for the party...
Mother gave me that Christmas vest years ago, and I have so enjoyed it.
Around my neck I'm wearing Mother's Russian Faberge egg.
We went to Russia together years ago- which deserves its own post.

Well, I digress...
I took that picture of me - to text (send) to Laura and Ryan,
as I had just found out that they made it to their new home
in Portland, Oregon!
I was giving them a Texas Howdy!

Stay tuned as I will tell more about Laura and Ryan living in Oregon!
(I think that sounds impressive.)
