Some random stuff on Saturday morning...

Tuesday morning I had surgery.
In my mind it was major surgery - since they 'put me under' completely.
But it was outpatient surgery so I left the hospital a few hours after it was over.

I could tell you what it was, but no one really needs to know..... except those loved ones I entrusted with knowing, so they could pray.

This begs the question: does everyone have to know everything about me, and/or you?

Facebook, and texting, and blogs, well, they can tell everything.
Unless I don't want them to.

Right now I'm still 'loopy' and 'light headed' from the pain meds.

I like being 'loopy' and 'light-headed'.
So I'll just tell you that.

Oh, and I'm back to being healthy.

But I can't drive a car for a few days.
That sounds kind of nice.

So I wasn't going to blog about the surgery...
but changed my mind.
That's what a 'loopy mind' will do for you.

And my daughter and her husband are in town for a wedding!
Here's a picture they sent when they got on the plane in Portland...

And here they are ready for the wedding last night...

So all kinds of random things are happening.
And hot weather is starting to happen.

I have other things to tell you or ask you...
like where is the Blue Bell ice cream?

But I'll close now ...
and leave you with a few quirky quotes...

"Egotist: a person more interested in himself than in me."
- Ambrose Bierce

"Copy from one, it's plagiarism; copy from two, it's research."
- Wilson Mizner

"A doctor can bury his mistakes but an architect can only advise his clients to plant vines."
- Frank Lloyd Wright

"What does it mean to pre-board? Do you get on before you get on?"
George Carlin

“Kilometers are shorter than miles. Save gas, take your next trip in kilometers.”
– George Carlin.

"When someone is impatient and says, "I haven't got all day,"
I always wonder, How can that be? How can you not have all day?"
- George Carlin

"Our first gig was a battle of the bands.
We did 45 minutes of comedy and never played a note - and we won!"
- Cheech Marin

I thought those were appropriate... on a loopy morning.
