Trivia Tuesday ...

When reflected from bright lights (head lights) deer’s eyes are orange, whereas cats and dogs are green. Rabbit’s eyes remain black.  (I couldn't find any pictures to verify all of that, but I'll take TRIVIA PLAZA's word for it.)

---------

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, and purple.

---------

The combination “ough” can be pronounced in nine different ways.  The following sentence contains them all: “A rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful plough man strode through the streets of Scarborough; after falling into a slough, he coughed and hiccoughed.”

Here's a fun I LOVE LUCY video to make the point...

-------------
Istanbul, Turkey is actually in two continents – Asia and Europe...

-------------
The name of all the continents end with the same letter that they start with...

---------
Canada is an Indian word meaning “Big Village.”

-----------
On a clear night, the human eye can see between 2,000 and 3,000 stars in the sky.

---------
Years ago someone told me they counted 16 airplanes in the sky. (They lived near DFW airport.) Well, I decided to count how many airplanes I could count in the night sky. (And I lived near DFW airport.)  I counted 26!!  Yes, I did!

---------

The longest U.S. highway is route 6 which starts in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and ends in Bishop, California.

---------

That's it for this Tuesday!

Have a great rest-of-the-week!!!
