Home wasn't built in a day.

I didn't draw (or take) that picture.
But it does kind of settle me.

I don't like moving.
I don't like the packing, then the unpacking, and the mess that comes with it all.
And the decisions about where to put stuff.

I did take that picture.
Just in writing that I get perspective.

There are millions of families in the world who don't have stuff.

That reminds me of the missionary who came back from Burundi in Africa and went to a Toys-R-Us.
She got nauseated.

Well, that's all I'll say about feeling guilty that I have stuff.

Stuff does, though, begin to own you, I believe.

We've been at our new home three weeks Tuesday. It's feeling more like home, but we're far from being settled.
And I want to be settled NOW!!

But I have to settle down...
and remind myself that it takes time to make a house a home.

And that makes me just want to settle down in my own skin... and relax.  Like my mother has told me these last few weeks: you can take time... because you have time. No hurry.

So that's my lesson for me today:
JUST SETTLE DOWN... IN YOUR OWN SKIN.
Those boxes will be unpacked.
It doesn't have to all be done this week.... or this month.

Be still and know that God is God.
You're not.
Thank goodness.

JUST SETTLE DOWN ... IN YOUR OWN SKIN.
AND...
LET THIS LITTLE HOUSE RELAX YOU...

 YEAH!

And there's this...
I share it with Sam, the man.

Thank you, Lord.

We've lived in our new place since February. I still have 3 boxes in my bedroom. (Plus a few in the garage!) 😳
I'm thinking I must not really need whatever is in them. Lol. Taking it slow is just fine!!
