Family fun...with a fun family...

We had a mini-reunion last week... with Mother's little brother, and some of my cousins.
From left, Mother, Sandy, David (who was smiling on the inside), Sam, Jim and Warren (who was also smiling on the inside).

David and Sandy brought some peppers from their garden in Iowa....
Those particular peppers were delicious.
The other peppers they brought were so hot I felt them for several hours.
(Note to self: wear rubber or plastic gloves when chopping peppers and taking their seeds out.)
(Oh, and wear gloves when you are cleaning up the cutting board.)
(And when you are wiping the counter.)
(And don't eat any peppers that Will gives you, unless you are wearing gloves and have deadened your taste buds.)
(Will took the fiery ones home. I hope he is okay.)

On a totally different note, here is Jim feeding Liam... the next day.

I couldn't resist taking several pictures of that.  Here are just two more...
Jim is a prominent lawyer in Nashville.
He's also a member of the Nashville Symphony Chorus,
and he is also pilot, among other things, like husband and father, etc.
(So you can see he can do more than just wonderful baby-feeding!)

Here he is out with Sam and John and Shiloh, making the Saturday night cook-out happen...

Here we are eating the yum food they grilled...

And here is the children's table...
Bailey and Will are really adults.

Here's some art work going on before and after the meal....

Andrew did a great job on that gingerbread house...

Caroline drew this...
Notice the Dr. Pepper cans have footballs on them.

And here's Caroline showing her artwork to her Nana...

The next evening (Sunday) after Warren and Jim had left for Tennessee, David and Sandy showed us their slides from their recent trip to Israel.
Here we were at Mother's, viewing the slides...

We saw lots of slides (1,000 in all!). Dave and Sandy went to the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, Capernaum, Jerusalem, Golgatha, Masada, Bethlehem, and many other places.  It was quite a trip.

But alas, I just took this picture of their picture on a camel.

They left for home (Iowa) the next morning, and we were left with some wonderful memories of the days they all were with us.

I'll close with this picture of Liam, who slept in my arms one of those afternoons...

Just looking at that sweet pic makes me relax!!!
