Music... can be magical.

I didn't major in music in college. I didn't want to be strapped down to the 'academics' of it.

Or maybe I was too lazy to be 'strapped down'.
Yeah, that was more like it.

(I did take nine years of piano lessons, from age 9 - 18.)

I have always loved music and have been mesmerized by it.

I think it has a power to energize... or sedate... or just let someone (me) 'feel'.

The first Merriam Webster dictionary definition of MUSIC is:
Noun: the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity.

"Unity and continuity"- I like that.

But I think 'magic' is more the definition.

The song, "When A Man Loves a Woman" sung by Michael Bolton is emotional... and sensual...
and even magical.

Mmm. I find that song to be magical... on many levels.  (Maybe it's just my age. Hmm.)

Ah, but I I recently found a site that is SUPER.  SUPER.
This is its title (and click this)....Neuroscientists Discover A Song That Reduces Anxiety By 65 Percent.

Did you go there?

Did you see it (HEAR IT)?

I think music DOES reduce anxiety.

I so think music is a gift from God... an amazing gift that we just cannot completely understand.

Thank you, God for music.

Easter 2017

My Easter was slow and mellow.

Sam was sick with a major cold, and Will's family was having fun at Robin's, then Dennis'. (Or vice versa.)  Me, I met up with Mother at her place, and her dear friend Debbie who has been such a good friend and encourager to Mother for the last few years. The three of us ate a delicious meal at Parkwood in Bedford.

Via text we found out Laura and sweet Ransom were having a great Easter day.
Dear son-in-law Ryan took this picture.

And via Facebook we found out Elizabeth's kids were Easter-ready.

And, via Facebook I enjoyed seeing pictures of nephew Rob's kids....
(from left: Sawyer, Abel, and Delia.)
And my dear cousin-in-law Talina got to have Easter with her two beautiful granddaughters....
Corrine is on the left, and Ainsley is on the right.
I may have to hug them soon - somehow.

And of course I was thrilled to see my son and his family celebrating Easter....
Is that not a beautiful family?
(no brag, just fact)

Oh, and Sam's brother Steve and gorgeous Lorie celebrated with their son, Mac!!

Everybody is growing.

Well, that is a good thing.

I hope YOU had a wonderful Easter!!!
