I love this place.

My last blog post (about being here in Oregon with this wonderful weather) had a kind of weird title. Well, it was not very lady-like, for sure. At least I should have said 'glistening' instead of 'perspiring'.

Anyway, I have some more pics that I love. They were taken yesterday and the day before.

Here we go...
Ransom's two grandmothers (Vicki and I) babysat Ransom as Laura and Ryan went to see a movie.
We fed him, read to him, and played with him outside. It was fun!

Afterwards we went for a walk with Ransom's parents...

We saw some gorgeous hanging flowers ...

And saw lots of these great signs in yards...

Then we went to a local grocery store, Food Front Cooperative Grocery, that has an eating section that features local artists.

Look who they are featuring this month!
That's Laura, as in OUR LAURA!!

Here she is with one of her artworks...

Here is another...

We got some groceries there and then came home and Vicki cooked us a good supper.
We ate outside, with one of Laura, Ryan and Ransom's neighbors, a medical doctor named Celia.
(My camera was inside, unfortunately.)

------

The next day we went to the coast, Oceanside Beach.

It was beautiful.
It was a great time.

Here is Ransom on the way home.
That picture just makes me relax.

I am so enjoying my visit here in Oregon.

We go to Bridgetown Church tonight, which is an inspiring place to be.

Tomorrow afternoon Vicki and I head home.

I don't know how this could be a more super visit.
Oh yes.

Don't hate me because I'm not perspiring.

Envy and jealousy may abound from some of you folks, where the temperature is too hot these days, as in TEXAS!!
You can get over it, work through it, and/or go to your 'happy place''.

Me, I'm the recipient of that envy, because I am in my 'happy place' for real!

I am cool and collected.

My son-in-law's mother and I (my daughter's mother) are in Portland to see our grandson, - and our children, of course, and to enjoy the weather here, which is SUPER DELUXE!!

Here are some random Ransom photos of our time here so far.

We went for a walk this morning - and it was 66 degrees!

We were happy!

I had to take this picture, because of that big mimosa tree.
My grandparents had small mimosa trees in Oak Cliff in Dallas when I was growing up.
Every time I see a mimosa tree I think of them.
Great memories, by the way.

Here's a nearby neighbor's yard I liked seeing.

Of course I have to show some Portland yum...
That's a Blanca pizza slice from The ROMAN CANDLE.
How about those scissors?!
---------

That's all for now. We'll be here three more days, so I'll be posting more photos.

I mainly do this blog for myself, but if you enjoy it, well, that makes me happy.

Vicki and I share a special bond!

Well, for one thing, we like to have FUN.

For another thing, our kids are married to each other!
That was the day of Laura and Ryan's wedding (June, 2010).
(I loved that day, because I loved that Laura was marrying Vicki's dear Ryan.)

Last Christmas (2016) we got to hold our grandson, handsome Ransom...
That's not my favorite picture of me, but oh well.

And so today, as in later TODAY, we are traveling TOGETHER to Portland, OR to see our mutual grandson!!

Two grandmothers/ two mothers/ two mothers-in-law... together.  I don't know how many ladies could do that amiably... but I KNOW WE CAN!!!
WE'RE SO EXCITED!!!

-----
In other news, Ryan's sister (Vicki's daughter) is going to Prague...
Victoria is the gorgeous one on the right.

You can read about her trip - and how you can help her financially and by prayer - by clicking HERE.

--------

So all my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...
I'm leaving on a jet plane...
and will get out of this Texas heat!!!

HURRAY!!

And we'll try not to spoil Ransom in the next few days.
Oh wait. Grandmothers are SUPPOSED to spoil their grandchildren.
Then we give them back to their parents.

I like this phase of life.

Oh, here are 3 pictures I got last night...

Awwww.
I can't wait to cuddle!!!
