These are a Few More of My Favorite Things...

We've rediscovered MARY POPPINS.

Recently I thought,
"Granddaughter Nell would probably enjoy
MARY POPPINS."
She did!
We've watched it maybe 6 times now - and can sing all the songs - and we even sometimes play like we're the characters.
It's fun!

Then Sam and I watched the movie SAVING MR. BANKS last week,
and well, now I know why it has that weird title,
since I thought it was just about Walt Disney.

Really. If you haven't seen MARY POPPINS in a while, do.
And watch SAVING MR. BANKS before or after.

I strongly recommend that.

And being with grandchildren lately
makes me think of this quote that I really like...
"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he/she is someone TODAY."
~ Stacia Tauscher
----------

Another totally different favorite thing of mine now is....
Boi Na Braza in Las Colinas
It's only been open a week or two... but it is amazing.
(Sam found that it was open for weekday lunch!)
So we went!
(It fits his low carb diet.)

Warning: it is NOT CHEAP!

I cannot go often or I would be broke -
and also have to join Weight Watchers.
Hmm. I guess joining Weight Watchers wouldn't be so bad.
OR
I could relax with my older self,
and not get on the scales ever again.
(That's a plan.)
(And I'm kind of okay with my face looking rounder these days,
and my middle, too.)

(NO! WHAT AM I THINKING? I HATE FEELING FAT!)

(By the way, we lived in Brazil for a while and loved the churrascarias there...
and were thrilled when some opened up in Texas.)

You can click HERE to go to Boi Na Braza's website.

(I need to make peace with my older self, clearly.)

Another favorite thing: this...

That sun-visor is my most absolute favorite head gear EVER!!
EVER!!
Thanks, Bailey!!

--------

Finally, here I am wearing my top my dear mother got me for my birthday. (I picked it out, with her help.)

Next to me are the orchids the tea room staff
- with Judy's attention/intention-
gave me for my birthday.
Oh, and they gave me a journal/book - to record all the things my grandchildren do (that I know that they do).
How great is that??

--------

So those are a few more of my favorite things.

I have even more.
Stay tuned.
