I didn't watch the wedding as it happened, but saw and heard excerpts later.
I so enjoyed the sermon the Episcopal Bishop Michael Curry gave.
And I LOVED the Gospel choir singing "Stand By Me"...
You can hear it and see it here (and you'll get to see lots of fancy hats)...

In different wedding news,
my 1 1/2 year old grandson
was the ring bearer in a wedding in Oregon Saturday.
was the ring bearer in a wedding in Oregon Saturday.
He did look dapper (his mother sent me these pictures)...
But maybe he was a little too young to be the ring-bearer?
Nah.
He just needed a little help to get the ring down the aisle.

In other news, our 4 1/2 year old granddaughter
performed in her preschool program Thursday night.
performed in her preschool program Thursday night.
If you look closely you can see her...

She is on the second row - on the right, in front of a little girl with a big pink bow. |
Here's Sam's picture, which may be a tad better (or not)...

Clearly we didn't have the best seats in the house, but we had the best singer in the program. |
After the program there was punch and cookies in the cafeteria (or fellowship hall) and the students' art was displayed...
And here she is with her little cousin Enza...

Nell is kind of pointing to her art work, the jack-o-lantern. |
It was a fun evening all around, and we were (are) proud grandparents.
It made me think of my parents going to a sixth grade band concert many years ago.
Will played the trombone.
Afterwards he asked Mother, "Did you see me, Grandmother?"
"Did I see you?!" Mother replied. "You were the only one I saw!!"
And that's how it was with Nell the other night.

That's it for now.
I'll be back tomorrow with, of course, trivia.
See you then.
