Decades ago one would get his/her opinion heard (read) by a letter to the editor of a local newspaper.
Or around the water cooler at work, or in the teacher's lounge, or at the park with other mothers/fathers, or wherever folks with opinions gather.
Now folks' opinions - the good, the bad and the ugly - are everywhere, thanks to social media
I'm thinking it kind of makes for a negative world.
Oh there are sunshiney posts out there, of sunsets and Bible verses, and cute kittens, but oh my, is there vitriol.
I've quit some folks on FB. Or rather I've quit viewing some folks' vitriol, though we're still 'friends'.
I had it with them and their vitriol. (I've added that word to my main vocabulary.)
So what do I think?
I loved the finale of "The Big Bang Theory" and I didn't love so much the last season of GAME OF THRONES (yes I watched it and grimaced often, but wanted to be culturally literate).
Ah, but the very last episode of GoT was okay by me, and I didn't sign the petition to have the season redone. (Dany had some clues to her madness, though very few.)
Different note: Pete Buttigieg's town hall on FOX NEWS made him look impressive, but I'm not going to vote for him.
Anyway, I've been trying to be literate in the ways of our time, but am thinking about quitting that effort - and staying offline more and more, and turning off the TV, on occasion.
This blog post only serves my purpose: to blog something. (I'm addicted.)
I may be more inspirational next time.
Well, next time (tomorrow) is TRIVIA!! (I'm addicted.)
See you then.
