FAVORITES

Here are my new favorites:

RUMPY'S in Gainesville, TX
(801 I-35)
Oh my goodness.
The Czech place in West, TX has nothing on Rumpy's.
Yum-de-dum-dum.

--------
Another new favorite.
He is the new rage. He is a Croatian cellist, and well, you need to hear him and see him.
He is Stjepan Hauser. Click HERE to read about him.

----------

Another favorite: the turkey guacamole sandwich at Schlotzky’s.
I used to ALWAYS get their original.
I branched out one day... and found a new favorite.
YUM.
 ---------

This next 'favorite thing' is a bit of news:
Taking care of grandkids helps fight dementia and Alzheimers!
Whoa. I do like that.
And here are two of my grands that I take care of...
So they're making me mentally healthier!!!
That is super.
--------

Here's another favorite: THE RED SEA DIVING RESORT. It's a movie I'd never heard of ... until I saw it the other night. It's based on a true story. And it is very good. Very interesting.
 ------
Another favorite thing:
One of the original Rosie the Riveters came into the tea room recently.
Click HERE for an article on Rosie the Riveter in the Fort Worth STAR TELEGRAM.

I asked her if there was a song she might want me to play while she was there. She immediately said, "In the Garden".
I played it, then gave her a CD of mine of old hymns, with that hymn being the main one.
She was happy... and I was super delighted.

I'll end with a favorite quote...

“Nothing can make our life, or the lives of other people, more beautiful than perpetual kindness.”
-- Leo Tolstoy
 --------

Those are some of my favorite things for now.
I have others.
No telling when I'll post them.
Stay tuned
