I changed it to Do this and Don't do that. I like that.
So here we go...
Tell people you appreciate them.
And maybe hug them.
Gary Chapman has a book on the 5 Love Languages. You can click HERE to go to his website. Your language may not be physical touch (as in hugs and pats on the back) but it might be. My languages are physical touch and words of affirmation.Anyway, I grew up in a wonderful family. Often when my parents would hug each other my twin and I would join them. I can so remember us having a family hug in the kitchen. No matter how old Peggy and I were, we would partake in the family hug.
I was talking to Mother today about that.... we both LOVED talking about that.
On the DON'T DO THAT topic... don't do this: Buy a quilt at a garage sale.
I tell you that because one of Mother's friends in her assisted living facility was given a beautiful quilt by her daughter that the daughter had bought at a garage sale.
What happened? The quilt was full of bed bugs!!
Mother's friend had to move to a different room, and have everything - EVERYTHING- in her place of residence fumigated big time. It was horrible.
That makes me think of the time my mother bought a refrigerator at a garage sale. Turns out it was full of roaches!!!
So let that be a lesson to you.
Give people love and appreciation...
And be careful what you buy at garage sales.
I think that is enough for my blog today.
(I go to my orthopedic doctor soon and will let you know how my kneecap is. It HAS afforded me lots of time to stay in pajamas. What is not to like about that???)
Oh, I'll end with this tip...
